Do the Things…

Daily writing prompt
What’s the most spontaneous thing you’ve ever done?

Most spontaneous thing I’ve ever done was start this blog, then put myself out there on social media trying to become someone that could share recipes online, and attempt to help support my family. Some days, it’s really easy to show up, others I question everything I’m doing and wondering why I’m not getting more support. Don’t get me wrong, the support I do get is amazing, and you all know who you are, and I’m glad you’re here.

Lately, I’ve been struggling more to show up because of what’s hard to hear when you sit down and pour thoughts onto a keyboard hoping someone finds it amusing, someone wants to make one of your recipes, or someone just wants to stop by for a good laugh. OR someone just wants to hit follow on that reel of mine they watched and say… I see you. I knew this would be hard to do, I just didn’t know it would be this hard. If you’re curious to see me crank out the recipes, and fuck some things up, follow along here. I will be posting way more reels now that baking season, and soup season are back…and I have a freezer stocked up with Pueblo Green Chiles guaranteed to light your ass on fire…if you’re into that kind of heat in your food.

Back to being spontaneous, I plan to keep it up, I plan to get back in a groove, and I plan to get out of this funk I’ve been in and get back to this routine where I’d wake up, pour my coffee, and just sit down to write. I plan to share how stay at home mom life is now that my child has ALMOST passed two-berty and has become a three-nager in full force with more feelings I’ve seen from my teenage son. Still in her Toy Story Era…she will be very happy when she wakes up this morning to see that toy Story 5 has FINALLY made it to Disney+. She has the whole crew of the toys from the movie she got for her birthday, and carries them all around in her Toy Story backpack, making sure she doesn’t split them up. And I have to admit her Buzz voice might be the cutest fucking thing I’ve ever heard.

Now that we’re back to sports again, It’s time to cheer on my Broncos, The Avalanche are officially in pre-season, The Rockies ended up being basically the worst team in Major League Baseball, and the Kansas State Wildcats are 3-0 with a pretty good season in the foreseeable future, and a WILD first win. Sports are back!

Lastly, as I’m sure most of you know and are curious as to how the Sourdough and Adventures of Garth are going….Garth is THRIVING. He has clones now, that hang out in the refrigerator, and once I feed one of the clones, it bulks right up and makes me the best bread, so I continue to fatten up my family one loaf at a time. I have a crossaint loaf in cold proof now, just waiting to get baked, and this weekend you’ll all have some cowboy stew and cornbread to look forward to on the recipe side. I promise I will be swinging back around to all your blogs within the next few days,
