Here’s Your Sign

Tonight we took Bee to the Royals game. She was living her best life. Baseball, french fries, and staying up way past bedtime. I’d call that a successful Monday. As we pulled into premium parking, (thank you hubby’s job) I looked over toward Arrowhead and there it was…

FIFA World Cup 2026.

The tournament is over, but the signage is still up, and it hit me for a second. The World Cup was right there. Just across the parking lot. How cool is that?

One parking lot separates Kauffman Stadium from Arrowhead, and this summer the best soccer players in the world were playing right next door while the Royals kept doing their thing (they won by the way).

Kansas City has become one of those cities people around the world recognize, and I think that’s pretty awesome. Moments like that sneak up on you. You head out for a Monday night baseball game, and you end up standing next to a piece of sports history.

Not bad for a Monday.

I’m shocked at how well behaved she was. A+++++++ tonight.

I think it’s funny that FIFA rules made several stadiums cover up any corporate sponsor names they had on the buildings. For instance, the Mercedes-Benz Done in Atlanta was temporarily known as “Atlanta Stadium“

Yup. All the signage was covered at Arrowhead.
