I disappeared for a few days…like I usually do after a fun filled family weekend which meant life just deserved my full attention.
My mom came to visit, we celebrated my birthday, I laughed until my stomach hurt, celebrated a little harder than my 22-year-old self ever would’ve admitted I should, and today I had to hug her goodbye as she headed back to Colorado.
Thank you to everyone who reached out with birthday wishes. Every text, message, comment, and phone call meant more than you know. Growing older isn’t my favorite hobby, but you all made 44 feel pretty special.
The job search is still…well…quiet. I haven’t heard anything about the wine rep position, so maybe I wasn’t quite as impressive as I thought I was walking out of that interview. Or maybe they’re just taking their time. Either way, worrying about it won’t make the phone ring, so I’m choosing to keep moving forward.
That’s kind of where I’m at lately. I’m learning that not every season has to be about having all the answers. Sometimes it’s about trying new things, laughing at yourself when they don’t go as planned, celebrating the little wins, and trusting that eventually the bigger ones will come too.
Thanks for sticking around while I figure it all out. Whether you’ve been here since the beginning or just found me yesterday, I’m glad you’re here.
Now…back to our regularly scheduled nonsense.
