Today we say goodbye to the OG, Garth. He wasn’t dramatic. He wasn’t particularly productive. He mostly just…existed in a jar while Wayne stole the spotlight. And Wayne needed his jar.

He taught me a lot, though. He taught me that not every starter is going to be a superstar. That sourdough is equal parts science, patience, and wondering why I’m talking to flour like it’s a family member.
So today, with the sound of Taps quietly playing in the background, I retired him with full honors.
The good news is this isn’t the end. It’s the beginning of Garth 2.0. Same name. Better flour. Better plan. Much higher expectations. Party on, Garth. Thanks for your service.
