The kids ate early today because Mom had actual responsibilities, like cutting fruit and cheese for the actual child.
Garth, now 10 days old and the oldest of the bunch, has been promoted to the big kid table and graduated to a 50/50/50 feeding. He’s starting to smell more sour and less like disappointment, so we’re optimistic.
Wayne, the middle child at 4 days old, continues to quietly do his own thing. He smells like Elmer’s glue, which, according to the internet and my new career as a scientist, is normal. He was also placed on a modified diet because he was getting a little too runny.
Cassandra, our sophisticated youngest daughter, informed me through the book that she should have been eating twice a day already. Since I failed to read the fine print of her care plan, she’ll be receiving an extra feeding tonight and will begin her new 9 AM/9 PM schedule tomorrow. The good news is if she continues to perform well and passes her assessments, (rise and float test) she could be ready to bake by Friday or Saturday. Which means there’s a very real possibility that Cassandra, age 3 days, could produce a Fourth of July loaf before Garth ever gets his life together.
I have also upgraded everyone’s flour because I’m a bigger mess than they are and slightly obsessed with them all.
I really would Garth to pull through and be ready celebrate on 4th of July. Party on fam (whoever decides to).
Stay tuned. 🍞🇺🇸
