My So Called Life

Bee is still sleeping, which means Jeff and I are doing what every parent does on a Saturday morning: sitting on the couch watching an inappropriate Netflix documentary and listening for tiny footsteps upstairs.

In about 30 minutes, she’ll wake up and ask “why?” 3,453,226,632 times.

Why is the sky blue?
Why can’t Rumple and Barley talk?
Why can’t I have ice cream for breakfast?
Why did Buzz leave Woody?
Why?
Why?
Why?

At some point today, we’ll figure out what we’re making this weekend, which is just a fancy way of saying we’ll throw out 27 ideas until one of us gives up and says, “I don’t care, you pick.” He picked.

I’m trying to nerd out with my new sourdough book and do some networking on WordPress because maintaining multiple jars of flour and water wasn’t enough of a hobby. My husband, on the other hand, would like me to stop reading about fermentation and pay attention to him. The eye rolls have already started.

In the middle of all of this, we’ll watch Toy Story for the 4,726th time, sing “You’ve Got a Friend in Me,” clean something, make a mess of something else, and wonder how the weekends go so fast.

I’ve gone from to infinity and beyond to party on Wayne and party on Garth. Wish me luck because I have alot going on over here.
