As if Garth and Wayne weren’t enough… shya, right…
Meet Cassandra.

After spending the last week reading 15 blogs, joining approximately 35,327 Facebook groups, and conducting multiple Google searches that all contradicted each other, I’ve decided to take a new approach. Cassandra is being raised by one source: a nearly 500-page sourdough book, The Perfect Loaf. That’s it. No Facebook Karens. No Reddit rabbit holes. No panic searching “why does my starter smell weird” at 2 a.m.
She was born on Friday, June 26th, and is being raised on organic dark rye flour because she has standards…and so do I at this point.
Does Cassandra look like cement? Yes. Am I worried? A smidge. But that’s also exactly what she looked like in the book, so I’m pretty sure she’s going to be just fine and the most well-behaved one in the Waynes World Sourdough Saga.
- Garth was raised on curiosity.
- Wayne is learning Cantonese to impress Cassandra.
- Cassandra is enrolled in advanced placement sourdough studies.
At this point, I have three jars of flour and water with names, personalities, designated housing, and educational philosophies.
I started this journey because I wanted to learn how to bake sourdough bread.
Instead, I’ve become the director of a flour-based exchange program starring the cast of Wayne’s World.
She is, in fact, a babe…Schwing. 🤘🍞
