We have entered our Toy Story era over here. Bee has become obsessed with the movies. It started with one and that turned into watching all of them. I forgot how cute they are. I also forgot how emotional they are. I’m pretty sure Toy Story 3 is the one that had me sitting questioning my life choices and trying not to cry over animated toys. Now we’re all impatiently waiting for Toy Story 5 like it’s the next season of Bridgerton.
The best part has been listening to Bee commit to the role. She walks around yelling, “To infinity and beyond!” and randomly starts singing You’ve Got a Friend in Me. I’m not mad about it. There are definitely worse songs to have stuck in your head. Then there are the one-liners. The other day she finally pooped in the potty, stood up, looked down with complete seriousness and announced, “Someone’s poisoned the water hole!”
I nearly fell over laughing. Toddlers are wild. One minute they’re Buzz Lightyear flying off the couch. The next they’re Woody investigating a suspicious potty situation. I’m just enjoying every second of it, singing along, quoting movies, and wondering how a bunch of talking toys became the soundtrack to our summer. Sometimes I even go rearrange her toys when she naps so she thinks they actually to come to life when you leave the room. I can already tell what her birthday party theme will be this year.
To infinity and beyond, friends. 🚀🤠💙
