It’s Memorial Day Weekend, and for once Kansas understood the assignment. No psycho storm clouds brewing, no wind trying to relocate my patio furniture to Nebraska, just sunshine and about 85 degrees. As soon as my daughter wakes up, we’re heading to the neighborhood pool for some much needed family time.
We were about to wake her up when I realized I never unpacked her swimsuit from the Ziploc bag after vacation. Was that trip weeks ago? Yes. Do I still have one final load of vacation laundry sitting there judging me? Also yes. Motherhood is really just moving the same laundry pile around the house.
My husband and I sat outside on the with an adult beverage pretending we had our lives together, until we realized we need an umbrella for the patio table. Unfortunately I’m currently cut off from Amazon for the week because “maybe we don’t need twelve random packages a day” has become a thing in my marriage.
Tonight is another AVS game, and I’m going to need everyone to manifest a win because if they lose on the road tonight…this might be the end of the season. The stress level in this house is already hovering somewhere between playoff hockey and toddler two-berty.
Send thoughts, prayers, and maybe a patio umbrella. Of course have a great and safe weekend, and wine-d down responsibly.
