Trippin’

Daily writing prompt
How do you plan the perfect road trip?

Planning the perfect road trip requires a special skill. Packing snacks, setting up the backseat just right for my daughter with this iPad holder I found on Amazon so she can watch Frozen and Bluey, and leaving just enough room in the cargo area so I can change diapers without stopping every time I hear, “MOOOOOM, POTTY.” Because she will not use a filthy public bathroom…or go anywhere without her pink potty seat anyway.

I thought I had everything perfectly planned. Hotel booked for Mother’s Day weekend, snacks packed, toddler entertainment ready to go…until I didn’t. (If you missed the disaster that almost took out the entire Colorado-cation before it even started, you can catch up here.)

The perfect road trip isn’t really about planning, it’s about the people you’re with, the memories you make, and the road that takes you there…with or without construction. Spoiler alert…there will be construction.
