Whining, Wine-ing & Winning

Tonight kicks off Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals as the Colorado Avalanche take on the Vegas Golden Knights at home after dominating round two against the Minnesota Wild. The AVS closed out the series 4-1, but not before causing distress first by going down 0-3 in the final game before climbing their way back for an overtime win at home.

AND to top off that, my husband is locked into the NBA Conference Finals tonight as his Oklahoma City Thunder try to bounce back in Game 2 against the Spurs after losing Game 1 in double overtime. Which means tonight in our house isn’t about what’s for dinner or what we should watch…it’s basically a custody battle over the TVs…and who am I to “steal his Thunder”. 🤓

My game starts at 7. His starts at 7:30. So for the next several hours, our marriage will be tested over TV access during commercials and time outs.

After all this excitement and a nice holiday weekend, Monday we level up into Diamond Club people thanks to free Royals vs. Yankees tickets…which is crazy considering I don’t give seven shits about either team. I’m mostly excited for the air conditioning, food, and seeing whether my toddler survives an entire baseball game without trying to become part of the grounds crew or streaking on the field.
