I have ignored the writing prompts for a few days now, and finally found one I was somewhat interested in this morning after having lunch with my mom and her bestie yesterday at the Cuchara Golf Course. Somehow the “well behaved women rarely make history” quote came up so I decided to run with that.
I looked this up and fell down a rabbit hole on Laurel Thatcher Ulrich. I read a little about her and thought to myself, I could sit down and wine-d down with this woman. She focused on everyday things like motherhood, real life shit, families, and the stories people usually overlook.
Now I am ready to sit in a nook, look out into the mountains, and read her book that was based off a diary. Kinda like an old school blogger I would have followed these days on WordPress.
I don’t know enough about her to write some full-on report, but now I want to learn more, all because of a word prompt I almost ignored. I think these are the best kind of rabbit holes.
