Weather and toddlers.

Jot down the first thing that comes to your mind.

Kansas weather and toddlers are the same person. I check the forecast, it says sunny, 71, light breeze. I’m like, “perfect, let’s go to the park.” Shoes are on, snacks are packed, and I’m feeling real good about my life decisions.

I step outside… wind hits me in the face, and the sky looks different than it did 10 minutes ago. My kid immediately decides her legs don’t work anymore because the air touched her wrong.

Crying. Yelling. Full production…I’m just standing here trying to figure out what just happened and why it’s somehow my fault. I didn’t even do anything. I just… existed incorrectly, and then…just as fast as it started, it’s over.

She’s smiling, asking for a hug, and acting like she didn’t just run my entire life into the ground.

Honestly, Kansas weather gives me more warning than a toddler does, and that’s saying something because the weather here lies all the time.

“because the air touched her wrong”…I totally feel for you, but that line is freaking hilarious

I’ve come to the conclusion that the weather hardly ever checks the weather report. And toddlers are just as unpredictable
