Describe something you learned in high school.

Something I learned in high school… well, it definitely wasn’t math. Because math sucked. I was that senior still in Algebra 1 because I HATED math. We didn’t get along at all, and honestly, I felt the same way about my math teacher.

I loved history and creative writing… shocker.

Back to something I actually learned in high school. I learned where to find myself. I made more friends after finally coming out of my shell. I was somewhat popular… in a weird way. Kinda the class clown, making awkward jokes and being disruptive.

We had this awards assembly for things like “most likely to succeed,” “best dressed,” all that. My award was “Dazed and Confused.” My mom was so proud. Meanwhile, I didn’t know if I was supposed to be honored or offended.

We did the whole thing like it was the Grammys… everyone dressed up, we had skits, the whole production. Then I got my award… an upside-down bowler trophy for being crowned “Miss Dazed and Confused”. A real ass honor.

I guess I learned to be a stoned Slaterson, but with a little more “wine-ding down” now.
