Little Miss Pants

Ok friends, time to get back on this blog mom train because I haven’t written much on it lately.

Lately, my little one is finding her voice, her feelings… and an attitude. And honestly? I’ll take it ALL DAY because most of the time, it’s hilarious.

It feels like one day she just woke up and decided she wasn’t going to be quiet anymore. She’s putting words together, saying little phrases, singing her heart out.

Her new favorite movie right now is the old school 101 Dalmatians (she calls it “Dogs”). Hearing her stroll around the house singing “Cruella De Vil” is one of the cutest things in the world… until this morning when I put the dogs outside for a quick potty break, and I swear she was singing it directly to me like I was some terrible old woman about to make a coat out of two goldendoodles.

She also loves Frozen and sings all the songs like she’s on stage. One day I’ll get her onto other classics, but for now… she’s locked in on these two.

Then the feelings…

Anytime something even slightly sad happens and the music changes, that bottom lip comes out. She walks over, arms up like, “yeah, I’m gonna need a hug for this.” And of course she gets one.

The other night she asked her dad for a before-bedtime snack and he told her it wasn’t quite time yet. She tilts her head, puts her hands on the side of her face like a little pillow, tilts again and goes “PLEEEEEEASE” with the sweetest smile.

That one? New trick. Very effective.

AND the attitude.

When it’s on fire, it’s ON FIRE. Stomping, throwing, running away calling us mean. I swear her strawberry blonde hair gets a little more red when she’s fired up. It’s all the emotions all at once, and sometimes it’s really hard not to laugh.

We were doing really good with potty training too… and then she caught the flu and said “absolutely not” to all of that.

She talks on her play phone, works on her little pink LeapFrog laptop (linked because apparently she has bloggin’ to do too)and cooks in her kitchen… just trying to be like mom and run a house with confidence. She helps clean (when she feels like it), picks up toys here and there, and always wants to help .

And I get a cheers almost every time she has her cups, so of course… I’ll wine-d down to that.

I feel like I’m doing ok over here—even when she’s putting bows in Rumple’s hair.
