Which aspects do you think makes a person unique?
I think what makes people unique is how they connect with others. The way someone can strike up a conversation with a random stranger and just… get it. I like to think I have that little superpower sometimes.
It’s in the look someone gives you—the one that says they just need to be seen and told they’re appreciated. Maybe they need a dumb joke. Maybe they need to vent about their day. Maybe they just need someone to laugh with because their kid lost it over chapstick that morning too.
I love those moments. When a stranger starts talking to me at lunch on my “For Me Friday”, or someone in the grocery store line makes a comment and suddenly we’re not strangers anymore. Those tiny connections matter. They make people feel seen.
That’s the kind of uniqueness I respect. People who are willing to try, to be open, to be a little vulnerable. That’s how friendships start—like kids on a playground asking, “Want to be best friends?” just because they’re wearing the same Kansas-State shirt.
So yeah… kindness and curiosity. That’s what makes people stand out. And to the compassionate ones…cheers. You can wine-d down with me anytime
