If you could have something named after you, what would it be?
Might seem a little lame, but I’ve been sitting on this prompt all morning, not sure what to write about—which hasn’t happened. I can’t remember having writer’s block since I started. Usually it just… happens.
If I’m going to have something named after me, it’s not going to be anything extra like a building or baseball field (even though the baseball field would be pretty sick). I just want something simple… like a bench.
A little bench under a weeping willow tree, next to a pond with lily pads and frogs. Somewhere people sit with their kids, their loved ones, read a book, scroll a blog… maybe even have a hot cup of whatever… or just a place to wine-d down after a long day.
A place to sit for a minute. A place to let thoughts catch up. A place where nothing is being asked.
