Sautéed Shrooms

Let me explain something…

If you’re eating plain burgers, we need to talk.

These mushrooms are buttery, garlicky, a little boujee with the “leftover” wine… and yes, they slap on a burger with melted Swiss.

They might look a little…awkward, but trust me, they taste way better than they look.

What you need:

☐ Mushrooms (brown, white, whatever looks good)

☐ 2 tbsp butter

☐ 2 tbsp olive oil

☐ 2 cloves garlic, minced (or more… no judgement)

☐ 1 tbsp soy sauce

☐ ¼ cup white wine (optional… but also not optional)

☐ Thyme (fresh or dried)

☐ Salt + pepper

☐ Chives (optional, if you’re feeling fancy)

Do the thing:

Wipe mushrooms clean and slice them (don’t soak them, they’re not in your kiddie pool), heat butter + olive oil over medium-high heat, toss mushrooms with soy sauce right before adding to pan, add to pan and DON’T TOUCH for 4–5 minutes (let them brown), stir then add wine, garlic, and thyme, cook a few more minutes until everything smells legit, season with salt + pepper, try not to eat half the pan standing at the stove.

Throw these on burgers, pile them on hot dogs, or eat them straight out of the pan. I won’t judge.

P.S. If your kitchen smells like a restaurant and your in-laws are hovering… you nailed it.
