What strategies do you use to cope with negative feelings?

Usually I try not to let my thoughts take over my brain… ok, that’s a lie. I absolutely let them. But when they start getting too loud, I usually deal with it one of two ways: I either word-vomit onto my keyboard or I start cooking.

I recently discovered my refrigerator is apparently smarter than I am and I can ask Alexa to save my steps as I go, which is pretty cool because my normal cooking style is mostly just throwing shit together and hoping it works.

Between writing things out and making food, I usually manage to get my brain to calm down long enough to remember that most problems aren’t as dramatic as they feel in the moment.

Worst case scenario, I end up with tacos.
