Whining, Wine-ing & Winning

Today is the day I finally post the recipe I’ve been humble-bragging about since yesterday. I also get to use all my new toys that I’ll share with you in the Mystery Dinner post later. But first… mommin’.

I woke up this morning after our family karaoke night and made myself my RYZE coffee (delicious and allegedly full of health benefits, which we’re choosing to believe). But back to the karaoke…

My daughter got a karaoke machine for Christmas, which has quickly turned into a family gift we use every Friday night. We sing loud, we sing proud, and if the neighbors ever decide to complain, that’s really on them because honestly… we’re pretty awesome.

Today, while the weather is cooperating, we’re heading to the park to spend some time outside while Kansas decides to give us a rare sunny day with no wind. Of course tomorrow it will probably be 50+ mph winds and snow again, because spring in Kansas likes to keep things interesting.

I’ll take my daughter up to her pink palace while I nerd out on WordPress and she crushes breakfast in her play kitchen and “makes me coffee.” It’s become our little morning ritual.

Weekends are the best because I have my husband home and we can actually enjoy some time together as a family. Somewhere in there I’ll also eventually add another chapter to The Berniece Chronicles, which is a fictional series on mom life featured on my blog… only slightly more animated than my normal posts.

But back to dinner later.

I have a cool new tripod, a new cast iron skillet, a few gadgets I’m excited to try, and the neatest meat shredder that will absolutely blow your mind.

So let’s enjoy the weekend, wine-d down, and see what kind of mischief our kids get into that we can all laugh about later.

And moms… no matter how your day is going,
