Pooped

(Not my toddler — just my feelings after yesterday.)

What a day of fighting with WordPress, Canva, Pinterest, hamburgers, slugs, categories, add blocks, copy/paste links, borders, backgrounds, HTML codes… the list goes on and on.

I’m still very new to blogging, as I’ve mentioned before. I started this hobby roughly a month ago, and yesterday I hit 1,000 views! That honestly made my day. So I decided to polish things up and sit down today to write my 25th blog post.

No Berniece today — today it’s just me.

Today is absolutely beautiful. The sun is out, birds are chirping, the doors and windows are open, and I was even able to finish a hot cup of coffee before my kiddo woke up. That alone feels like a small victory. Now I get to sit down and put some thoughts out there.

This blogging stuff is a whole new world, like I said before. I thought I could just sit down, write, and post — but that got boring pretty quickly. I wanted more. I wanted it to look pretty. I wanted to add recipes. I wanted to see what other bloggers were up to.

I’ve read many of your stories on WordPress, and so many of you are incredibly talented and have been doing this for years. It’s been really fun to read your work, and I’m excited to see how this journey unfolds for me.

Taking pictures for posts, uploading them into Canva, and adding them to my stories has also become a new little hobby. Now I keep thinking I need a fancy camera, a new laptop, tweaks here, buy this so I can do that… my husband is starting to get a little antsy, but he’s still supportive. Maybe a camera for my birthday. For now though, my phone works just fine.

I’m just afraid if I get a camera, I’ll suddenly want to start photography on top of everything else I’m trying to learn.

But honestly, this has been wonderful for me. Blogging has helped me replace some bad habits with something creative. Having this as a hobby, following other bloggers, and watching people grow, change, and rebuild things in their lives has been really inspiring.

The rest of the day will be the usual mom duties. I’ll probably circle back during nap time to try a few more tricks and tweaks on the blog.

If anyone has suggestions, please feel free to share them below. I love learning and making improvements.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

And as I like to say, wine-d down however you do.
