Beam-Fiction Monday

Beam

All my thoughts race together when I see this word, and decide to expand my thoughts on it. I think, Beam of sunshine finally coming through the Kansas clouds with Spring peaking its way through what could be many more ice and snow storms.

I think, Beam, as in getting Beam-ed in the head with a toy my toddler threw at me in her rage of getting a grape popsicle and not cherry.

I think, Beam, as in the Jim Beam my husband like to sip on during the weekend, while we wind down together after a long week of adulting, and reflecting on how we managed to keep everyone alive and well.

The laser Beam of eye contact I get while my child forces out a poop after being sat on the toilet for the past 110 minutes, and the smile Beam she gets showing shes completely proud of herself for making me sigh just a smidge louder.

And my favorite, the beam of silence during that 2 hour nap where I can sit, write, read, create, ponder, reflect, learn all the things that give me life, and keep me going strong.

Thank you for the opportunity to share this with you, I had fun!
